HOW TO PLAY STAR ATLAS

This is a brief generalized guide intended to be used in conjuction with your own research

1. If you have never traded cryptocurrencies you will need to open an account on an exchange and deposit some funds.
2. Then purchase some Solana ($SOL)
3. To play the game you will need a defi wallet, Star Atlas works well with ‘Phantom’ wallet but there are others but for this guide I will stick with Phantom which is a browser extension (add-on)
   NOTE: TO MAXIMISE SECURITY OF YOUR FUNDS IT IS RECOMMENDED TO USE A LEDGER.
   A ledger is a hardware wallet which can  work in conjuction with Phantom wallet, its a usb device which stores your account keys.  If you dont use a ledger NEVER disclose your account keys to anyone!
4. Once phantom wallet is setup transfer some Solana ($SOL) from your exchange account to your Phantom wallet, this is done by doing a ‘withdraw’ on the exchange to the phantom wallet address and ensure you select the Solana Network
5. You can then use the SWAP feature in Phantom to swap some Solana ($SOL) to Atlas ($ATLAS) or USDC for purchasing ships or Polis ($POLIS) for voting
   It is good practice to ensure you always have at least 0.10 SOL balance to cover fee’s in your Phantom wallet.

1. Click on the Marketplace tab, browse ships and do your research.
   The type of ship you need depends on what role you want to undertake, combat, mining, freight, bounty hunting, data running, racing, exploring, etc
2. Click on the ship, click on TRADE
3. You can purchase in $ATLAS or USDC, its good to check which price works out best as they do vary

1. You can have multiple fleets so decide what ships you are going to use in which fleet.
