MY STAR ATLAS JOURNEY
SCREAM / SAGE / STARBASED
WHAT IS SCREAM?
SCREAM the progression from SCORE, its a WEB-GL based multi-player game which is playable in a browser. It will entail economic, political, and strategic elements and is the first time players can use their ships to fight for the future of their faction with fun, active, repeatable, on-chain game play with earning potential.
Scream has been rebranded several times with each phase of mini game release, current version is SAGE STARBASED.

HOW TO PLAY
There are currently 2 ways to play the Mini Game
Your objective in STARBASED is to contribute to upgrading your factions Star Bases.
Each system has a Star Base, Star Bases are rated on a tier system 1-6 denoting their strength and what they can craft.
Having a high tier Star Base means complex crafting activities can be carried out at the Starbase rather than having to freight all mined materials back to Central Space Station.
MY STRATEGY
My general strategy has changed since the first release of the mini-game.
Current approach is essentially just a Mining and minor Crafting Operation with fuel crafting being carried out as needed.
I am crafting components if I see attractive marketplace pricing opportunities.
FLEET #1 ASTEROID MINING
1x Armstrong IMP TAP Asteroid Mining Ship (Medium)
The TAP is a specialized mining ship, this bad boy just consumes a little food and will extract whatever resource you point it at.
FLEET #2 ARMED FREIGHT
1x Fimbul BYOS Packlite (Medium)
1x Mamba (Medium)
The Fimbul BYOS Packlite is a rugged cargo vessel with a huge cargo bay, 2 medium slots.
I will use a Mamba to provide firepower escort.
CRAFTING CREW
I have approx 50 crew refining mined materials into various components.
10x Tufa Feists
I also have a bunch of Tufa fighters, these are currently disbanded and the crew are being used in crafting activities.
When COMBAT becomes part of the game I will utilize these.
CLAIM STAKE
Tier 2
I have a claim stake still in SCORE for now.
It generates approx 10k R4 a day, thats:
10,000 Food
10,000 Tools
10,000 Ammo
10,000 Fuel
THE PROCESS
PICK A RESOURCE TO MINE
A map of all resources and their locations can be found on the Resources page, there is also a Crafting Chart on the resources page detailing what components can be crafted and what materials are needed.

FLY MINER SHIP TO THAT SYSTEM
Fuel up and use Sub-Warp as an economical means of traveling long distances in one hop.
No need to rush these things.
Take a full load of food & fuel to store at target system Starbase.

COMMENCE MINING
When you commence mining it will tell you how much food the miner crew will consume to fill the cargo of mined resources.
Once cargo is full, stop mining and dock, unload cargo to the Starbase of that system
Refuel & top up food if needed and start mining again.

FREIGHT TO CSS
At the same time I am filling my freighter with the mined resource, also fuel up freighter with just the amount of fuel it needs to make it back and use Sub-Warp to travel to CSS.
Once at CSS, unload, refuel and reload cargo bay with food and fuel for mining operations and return freight.
Return to the mining site.

CRAFTING
At the same time you can have some crew at the CSS performing crafting activities.
Simple example is mining Iron Ore, crafting this into IRON and then crafting IRON into FRAMEWORKS which can be sold for a value added price on the Marketplace.

RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS
I have a Tier 2 Claim Stake.
This structure produces R4 (ammo, fuel, toolkits & food) passively.
If I have a shortfall in fuel I switch my mining operation to HYDROGEN.
Hydrogen can easily be crafted into FUEL at a number of star systems.

THATS THE GAME
Setup mining activities
Establish freight routes and resource them
Manage Crafting operations
The more fleets you have carrying out tasks all at once the more complex this all becomes.
In Starbased you can then contribute crafted materials to Starbases and earn LP which is converted into Atlas every 24 hours.
Or you can sell your crafted goods on the Marketplace.
Next iteration of the mini game is believed to include COMBAT where things will get much more interesting as you will need to protect your mining and freight operations with fighters.
Or you can simply purchase fighters and reak havoc.
There will be a safe-zone where you cant be destroyed, a medium risk zone where you can be destroyed and lose your cargo but ship is respawned and then there is the High Risk zone where you can actually have your ship destroyed…
